Setting in tubing strings without upsets, typically integral joint where couplingsdo not exist.Used primarily for straddle pack offs, or tubing pack offs.
Consists of 3 parts:
1. Fishneck
2. Slips
3. Retainer Wire
Internal fishing neck, when setting, the tapered slip carrier forces the slips tight to the inner tubingwall.
Ran with a shear down pulling tool, G Running Tool, or a GS. Pulled with aGS or GR pulling tool.
Attach to desired running tool and lower into wellbore to desired depth. Setslips by jarring tapered fishneck down and forcing slips against inner tubingwall, shear off and remove toolstring wellbore.
To retrieve the G Anchor, attach the GS / GR to toolstring and lower intowellbore, latch and jar up to release the slip from the taper, remove fromwellbore.
